Kodachrome Basin and Red Canyon

~ near Bryce Canyon

After driving for two hours to arrive at Bryce before dawn, we were enveloped in a cloud at 8000 feet elevation.  'Plan B' was invoked, involving a short drive to Kodachrome Basin which was below cloud level but experiencing sporadic precipitation (i.e. it was wet).  Shooting was somewhat limited in the very heavy light, but there was some good saturation of colours in nearby rocks.  The 'blue sky' shots below are from Red Canyon, just west of Bryce, on another day.
