| This ecological reserve protects nesting seabirds, and provides visitors with unparalleled access to view and photograph this unique site. Bird Rock is covered with thousands of Northern Gannets (sula bassanus). I arrived late one evening in the fog and was encouraged to still 'go see' by the staff, and they were right! The next morning was clear and I spent four hours photographing and just watching the birds soar overhead. A truly amazing place. Watch for the crows stealing eggs from the murres and kitiwakes. |
